An Invitation to Join God in Redemption

Series:

Summary

Title: An Invitation to Join God in Redemption – Mark 2:1–11

Main Idea:
God, in His grace, invites us to join Him in His redemptive work. Though He doesn’t need us, He includes us for His glory and our joy.

I. Our Invitation Is Driven by Love (Mark 12:28–31)

  • Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

  • Love your neighbor as yourself.

  • Obedience to God flows from love for Him.

  • Sharing the gospel is an act of love for others.

II. Our Mission Is Empowered by the Spirit (Matt. 28:18–20; Acts 1:7–8)

  • The Great Commission: make disciples wherever you go.

  • Baptize, teach, and train others in obedience.

  • The Spirit gives us power to be witnesses everywhere.

  • Disciple-making is impossible in our strength but fully possible through His Spirit.

III. Our Role Is Simple Obedience (Mark 2:1–11)

  • Four friends bring a paralytic to Jesus—faith in action.

  • They couldn’t heal him, but they could carry him.

  • Barriers didn’t stop them—faith drove obedience.

  • Jesus forgave sins and healed, demonstrating His authority.

  • Their obedience led to God’s glory and transformation.

Conclusion:
God invites us to join Him in His work of redemption. He is in control, but He allows us to participate in the joy of seeing lives changed.

Who has He placed in your life to bring to Jesus?
