Abandon your Resume, Embrace the Relationship

Summary
Abandon Your Resume, Embrace the Relationship
In Philippians 3:1-9, Paul shares his impressive resumé of law-keeping but declares it worthless compared to knowing Christ. He emphasizes that true righteousness comes not from our works but through faith in Jesus.
1. Abandon Your Resume
Paul’s achievements once mattered, but now he considers them a loss for the sake of Christ. We must let go of anything that competes with our relationship with Jesus, recognizing that our righteousness is from Him alone.
2. Embrace Your Relationship
Our relationship with Jesus is transformative. As we grow in Him, we become more like Him, not through perfection but through consistent pursuit. Our goal should be to know Christ and share in His suffering and resurrection.
3. Run the Race
God calls us to press forward, leaving behind past successes and failures. Like Peter, who overcame his denial to passionately follow Christ, we are to run toward the prize, laying down anything that hinders us from knowing Jesus more deeply.
As we reflect on what separates us from Christ, let's commit to laying it down at the cross and running the race for His glory.
