Berean Students Missions Trip 27'
Dominican Republic Missions Trip 2027
Juan Tomas, Dominican Republic
June 26 – July 3, 2027
Cost: $2,000
More Than a Trip. A Year with One-Goal.
At Berean Students, we believe missions is not simply something you do for one week each summer. It is a lifestyle that every follower of Jesus is called to embrace.
That is why our High School Missions Trip is now built around a discipleship model, not just an international location. The week in the Dominican Republic is simply the culmination of a year spent growing in Christ, learning to share the gospel, and serving both our church and our community.
If you are looking for a vacation, this is probably not the trip for you.
If you desire to grow as a disciple of Jesus and make Him known, we would love for you to prayerfully consider joining the team.
Where We Serve
This year our team will serve in Juan Tomas, Dominican Republic, partnering with Partners in Christ, an organization that has faithfully served the Dominican Republic for decades by strengthening local churches, investing in Christian education, and supporting community-led ministry. Rather than creating dependence, their mission is to equip local leaders for long-term gospel impact.
Throughout the week, students will have opportunities to:
- Share the gospel in local communities
- Serve alongside local church leadership
- Build relationships through sports and outreach
- Encourage local churches and ministries
- Experience what God is doing in the DR
Our desire is not simply to "do ministry," but to learn and grow from believers who are faithfully serving Christ every day.
Our Discipleship Model
Being selected for the missions team is the beginning of the journey, not the end.
Every student accepted onto the team commits to approximately one year of intentional discipleship leading up to the trip. Throughout the year students will participate in:
- 3 Monthly Gatherings per Month
- Sundays at 12:30. These will begin with lunch, worship, prayer, and breaking the students into gendered devotional groups for more intentional discipleship with a leader.
- 2nd Sunday each month will be a service project or an opportunity for the students to bring friends for a fun event, seeking to build relationships that point to Christ.
- Students are required to attend 60% of the team meetings throughout the year.
- Gospel and evangelism training
- Leadership development
- Service opportunities throughout our community
- Prayer and spiritual formation
- Fundraising together as a team
Our hope is that students return from the Dominican Republic not simply with memories, but with a lifestyle of faithfully following Jesus.
The Commitment
Participation on the team is a commitment to both the trip and the year leading up to it.
Students are expected to:
- Attend required team meetings
- Actively pursue spiritual growth
- Participate in team fundraising opportunities
- Demonstrate a desire to learn and grow
Because our goal is discipleship, attendance and participation throughout the year matter just as much as the week in the Dominican Republic.
Cost
$2,000
The trip cost includes airfare, lodging, meals, in-country transportation, travel insurance, and ministry expenses. Students will have opportunities throughout the year to participate in fundraising efforts to help offset the cost, to include the annual dinner and auction which historically, covers a significant portion.
Our Vision
Our prayer is not simply to send students to another country.
Our prayer is to raise up students who love Jesus deeply, know His Word, boldly share the gospel, faithfully serve His Church, and live on mission wherever God places them.
For more information, there will be an interest and information meeting at Berean in the Student Center at 12:30 on August 16th.
